Comment Bonobo - Black Sands (2010) 24 bits/96 kHz vinyl rip. ### Lineage ### Grado Presige Red1 -> Technics SL-J11D --(2xRCA)--> Dynavox TC-750 --(2xRCA to 2xJack)--> TASCAM US-800 --(USB)--> Audition 3.0.1 --(32-bit float PCM Wav)--> Audacity 1.3.12-beta -> .flac ### Spectrum Analysis ### ### Medium Notes ### - Bonobo - Black Sands (2x12" vinyl, ZEN140 180gr Pressing) - Vinyl is in mint/vg+ condition, played about 10 times on side A and C and 5 times on side B and D. ### Audio Path ### - Cartridge/Stylus: Grado Prestige Red1 - Turntable: Technics SL-J11D - Preamp: Dynavox TC-750 - Computer Audio I/O: TASCAM US-800 (on ASIO, driver 1.0.4/Windows XP, 5.1.2600) - Program: Adobe Audition 3.0.1 (capture and amplification) + Audacity 1.3.12-beta (labeling and splitting) - Encoder: FLAC 1.2.1 ### Cleanup/Restoration ### - Amplified with peak set to -0.1dB (needle drop on both sides was left "as is" and wasn't included in the amplification) - No "DeClicking/DePopping", if you don't like those, listen to CDs.. ### Other Notes ### - Needle drop left on purpose, the idea is to keep some of the "vinyl" spirit. Feel free to remove them from your copy if you don't like them. Please note the needle drop exceeds 0dB, I guarantee the rest of the recording always remained under -0.5dB. - A.txt, B.txt, C.txt and D.txt contain Label information from Audacity; the two numbers only mark the beggining of the track on the record. - Enjoy.
