Comment | Although jammed into DR7, this is one of the best-sounding progressive metal (?) records. Ever. I just did a compilation of productions in the genre perfect except for the loudness war, but now that I have this, there's a missing slot. The recording and mixing are one hundred percent flawless, with clean crunch on guitars, crystal-clear drums and heavy snare, solid and reverberating bass, pristine keyboards and vocals, and the overall clarity not much disturbed by the compression. This is simply as good as DR7 gets, but still, notice the qualifier. |
