Comment | Not quite heavy enough to be progressive metal most of the time, so one would expect quiet mastering. DR7 and extremely pervasive 0 dB sections cause flattened, indistinct guitar tone and poorly mixed drums to sound even more blatantly puny. Keys, vocals, and bass sound okay, but rather sterile. Perhaps the reason people don't like today's music as much is because compressed masters make today's music much less appreciable. |
