| Comment | Mirror of Souls was among the loudest masters I own, and As The World Bleeds is significantly less loud than an increase to only DR6 would indicate. The impact on sonic clarity is noticeable, with the drums punching harder and guitars and bass sounding clearer. Not as dramatically better as Darkwater's transition from DR6 to DR9 between albums, but still noticeable and welcomed, and the trend of those two albums may signal an end to the loudness war for Ulterium Records in the future. |
