| Comment | One standing example of prog metal mastered WAY too loud, among the loudest discs I've ever heard in this genre. Bass goes from audible to almost completely missing, drums less so but still well over half weaker than peak volume, guitar solos distort, brickwalled into the red almost everywhere on the waveform and even heard during an *acoustic* driven pre-chorus, and extremely fatiguing to listen to. The next one is most definitely several dB quieter according to the band, and this makes me excited. |
