| Comment | A K-TEL compilation CD of early 1980s hits, exactly like it says on the tin. This compilation might be of interest due to it being one of the only ways to obtain the original 1981 recording of Buckner & Garcia's "Pac-Man Fever" on CD; the original B&G album never saw a full CD release and all versions of the album that are available are complete re-recordings. As for the other songs, most of them are the single versions, with the exceptions of Journey and The Clash, which are the album versions. Comparing those two tracks with versions of their parent albums archived on this website, their peaks and RMS do differ, but most tracks maintain good dynamic range throughout. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" appears to be slightly more compressed than the other tracks. |
