Comment | De-emphasis applied with Impulse Response Convolver component of foobar2000. Not really sure if this sounds better, if the original does indeed have pre-emphasis, it doesn't detract from the music much. I did a listening comparison of 'Hymne' with the original with pre-emphasis / this / and the version on the 'Themes' compilation, and the 'Themes' version sounded like it was somewhere in between those with and without pre-emphasis, so nothing conclusive here... |
