| Comment | I'm not someone who believes 24bit or any higher sampling rate then 44.1 will lead to better sound, and from what I have read on the subject certain equipment may actually mishandle the higher frequencies and make it sound worse, and the lower noise floor and the increased dynamic range potential of 24bit just isn't beneficial at normal listening levels. In this case however (along with dream theaters latest) Roadrunner have supplied a superior master than the CD. If buying Hi rez is the only way to get none compressed masters, then I am all for it. I hope Roadrunner stick with this plan as I would love to see some Lamb of God, Mastodon, Machine Head, Rob Zombie etc. get some dynamic releases through something like HD tracks (Or even on CD!).
