| Comment | An odd pressing. Seemingly inconsistent with similar entries for the same vinyl edition here. Output suggests it should have been a double vinyl release as side B is -6db compared to side A (compensated for in ripping and therefore corrected in the log file). Even after compensating for lower level on side B, most of the entire album is consistently -6db down from 0db. Odd. Only track A3 and B6 get close to 0db on occasion. Side A is about 19 minutes, side B 28 minutes, which might account for reduction in side B level. 180g vinyl noise free. Significantly less dynamic range compression than the original CD release in 2004. Better sounding, despite above caveats. Recorded using Michell Orbe turntable, Origin Live Silver mk3c tonearm, Ortofon Cadenza Black cart, Tom Evans Microgroove Plus phono, RME ADI-2 Pro FS R analogue to digital conversion. 24/88.2 wav rip. |
