| Comment | A weird mish-mash of tracks, including a butchered version of Working Hour that's had the DR squashed out of it entirely, and forcibly faded out (presumably to fit CD time limits?). Ideas As Opiates has the same DR as on the original 1983 CD of The Hurting, yet Mad World, Memories Fade and Change are all from remasters(!). Sea Song is also less dynamic than the version on Saturnine Martial and Lunatic. And they can only have been looking to annoy people leaving off Everybody Wants To Rule The World, yet including Empire Building! Interesting to hear a version of Year Of The Knife that ends cleanly though (i.e. without the segue into Famous Last Words). The booklet has various errors, such as listing Shout as the single version and Mothers Talk as the album version, whereas it's actually the other way round, and it also says Working Hour is the full 6:29 (when really it's cut as previously stated). |
