Comment | Supersonic is mastered differently here than on Definitely Maybe, probably because the album had not yet been mastered when this single was released (11.04.1994). The sleeve does not indicate where and by whom the single version was mastered, but it's possible that it was mastered at Abbey Road Studios. Lee Henshaw's book on Oasis mistakenly claims that Supersonic and Shakermaker were recorded at Abbey Road. It seems likely that someone involved in the book's production confused recording with mastering, hence the error. There is a listing on eil.com of an Abbey Road reference CDR of the Shakermaker single, dated 6th May 1994, with the initials C.B. (likely Chris Blair) on the front: http://eil.com/shop/moreinfo.asp?catalogid=223168 Production credits on single sleeve and booklet accompanying DM singles box set: Supersonic and Take Me Away were produced by Oasis and Mark Coyle. The recording engineer was Dave Scott. The song was recorded in December 1993 at the Pink Museum Studios in Liverpool. Backing vocals on Supersonic were by The Real People's Anthony Griffiths. All songs were written by Noel Gallagher. I Will Believe (Live) is an early BBC radio session recording from 11 August 1993. |
