| Comment | Fucked by "Dickhead" Skrillex (!). I am not as nitpicky as others here, but this is awful. Even people who are not concerned about this topic can hear it easily. Lots of clipping and hardly any dynamics. EDIT: I do not have the software to create a log file for the high res 24-bit / 44.1kHz version of this album but the DR is literally double that of this horrible CD version. It's a totally different mix and sounds infinitely better. A nice surprise to see a band release an audiophile version of an album. EDIT2: Customers beware, the 24/96kHz version is as squashed as the CD. Only the 24/44.1kHz is different (but still terrible as Skrillex is not capable). The mastering "engineer' is called: Gentry Studer. His mastering is even worse than Rick Rubin. Albums like: Gore by Deftones, Metallica - Hardwired...To Self-Destruct and some albums by Otep. |
