This is the third and last of this 3-CD digipack, featuring various version the Sweet Sweet Sweet song that was used as a base for the ending theme of Sonic 2. Unfortunately not as good as the previous ones. The original song (track 1) suffers from awkward brickwalling at -0.5dBFS during the first chorus (while the other parts go up to 0dBFS). This is not present on the English version of the song (track 2). Honestly, I highly prefer the original mastering from 1992 for both over this.
As for the other versions, this is typical modern Hip-Hop mastering, not very dynamic to begin with, so not really surprising. |
