| Comment | The peak levels are insanely low because the mastering engineer involved with the Deluxe Editions of Duran Duran (debut) and Seven and the Ragged Tiger received negative feedback from making those releases far too loud and compressed. Instead of keeping the dynamics intact for Notorious and Big Thing, the engineer did the opposite; compress the music but lower the volume 5 or 6 dB just to make it "quiet". I've never seen this happen with any other remasters. |
