| Comment | Full 5.1 DVD-Audio mix measured, no downmix. Sounds absolutely amazing, the FL/FR channels look quite compressed when looking at the waveforms, but it's not really noticeable when listening to it, probably because all other channels (including the center) are very dynamic. The surround mix is one of the best I've ever heard, even better than the already great Systematic Chaos. It adds a totally new layer of immersion to the album and features some of the coolest surround effects you'll ever hear (at least as far as music goes). Similar to Systematic Chaos, the LFE channel is put to great use to deliver some thundering bass and kick drum but it feels a lot more balanced and nuanced. |
