| Comment | FLAC-Rip of the 5.1 DVD-Audio Sounds good with a surprisingly great Surround-Mix. Dynamics could be better, the FL/FR Channels are more dynamic than the CD but still pretty compressed. The fact that the center channel seems to be used exclusively for the vocals gives the instruments a more consistent volume as they dont get pushed aside by the vocals. The numbers represent the sound qualty pretty well here. A lot of 5.1 mixes get inflated numbers due to the surround channels but that isn't relly the case here since they seem to have a pretty constant violume. Some wasted potential with the LFE channel, it's at a verly low volume and only augments the bass drum a bit. There are a couple of strong synthetic bass effects which are mixed into the front channels for some reason. |
