Comment I bought this CD (at a premium :|) hoping it was the very first pressing with the full dynamics, but no such luck. Although this is indeed a very early pressing, it is not the first. As such, it is mastered nearly twice as loud as the "holy grail" edition of this album. Not quite as bad as the 2012 remaster but not that much better either and probably not worth what I paid for it. The CD itself is grey/black with red text just like the very first pressing but there is one key difference. If you look at the matrix numbers on this particular edition, you will see the numbers "08-91" in the matrix. For the true first pressing with the full dynamic range, you'll want to look for "06-91" in the matrix. Comment by another user: It seems like the matrix code is the only sign you can rely on. I've got the same pressing with the same bad DR here, but the CD print differs from the one mentioned above: My CD's got a black and white print, matrix however contains "08-91". (As far as I know there also exists a black/grey print with white text.) And another comment: Ah, yes there are only one version with full DR, namely with Matrix / Runout: NB 047 P+O-9309-A1 06-91. All of the other versions released in 1991 contains 08-91 with bad DR. No less than 3, maybe 4 versions with 08-91 flying around.
