CountryUSA Digital Download. I have the original CD from 1988 and also the 1995 Remaster. This is simply better than the 1995 Remaster and has more punch and dynamics than the original CD pressing. It's not a wall of sound like the 1995 Remaster. Metallica recently released all their albums in High Resolution, keep in mind, this is "NOT" a remaster like Kill 'Em All or Ride The Lightning. This is the original album mastered at 96kHz/24bit. [EDIT - incorrect, this is absolutely a remaster, if it was just the original album mastered at 24/96 then it would have the exact same DR12 dynamic score as the original CD, hence it is NOT the original mastering presented in high resolution but a remaster] I am assuming they used the same masters that were used for the MFiT albums (that is not confirmed). I would buy this before it's taken down because the "Remastered Box Set" will come out soon and they will take this down and replace it with the Remastered Album.
